Abrasive dust is present in every water circuit, facilities are frequently remote, and maintenance windows are short and infrequent. Equipment specified for a cement plant must operate for extended periods without attention and tolerate media that will wear any soft component.
Where the duty requires it, equipment is built to a heavier specification with thicker elements and hardened internals, and this is stated at the quotation stage rather than omitted in favour of the lowest specification that nominally satisfies the enquiry.
